2How do I find it on my body?
- Find CV22 at the centre of the notch above the breastbone.
- Measure 1 B-cun down, using the chest scale (9 B-cun from the notch to the xiphisternal junction).
- Press the middle of the top part of the breastbone (manubrium).
A cun is a body-scaled unit of length. The precise way is to divide a bone length into equal parts (proportional bone cun); finger widths are a quick estimate.
- xiphisternal junction
- Where the body of the breastbone meets the xiphoid process, just above the pit of the stomach. From here to the center of the navel is taken as 8 cun.
- costal cartilage
- The firm cartilage that joins the front end of a rib to the breastbone. It is a little softer and more bendy than bone, so the chest can expand when we breathe.
3Before you press

4How has it been used traditionally?

From traditional texts — not a claim of effect.
